When fittedat the rear of the mower the mulch plug allows the grass cuttings to be mulchedinto tiny pieces which are then blown back onto the ground. The nutrient richpieces are re absorbed for a healthier lawn growth and appearance. The side and rear discharge options are useful in less formal and longer grass areas. The clippings can be left to wilt back naturally.
